Welcome Authors!   

It is Spring 2009, and the Writers Guild at Davis Drive Middle School is ready to get going on their new endeavor: a literary magazine for our school.  The magazine staff consists of several guild members plus Mrs. Paisie (our advisor, but she lets us do most everything ourselves).

While we get these pages up and running, we want you to write, write, write!  And we hope to be able to accept drawings and artwork, if their submitted as jpg files.  So: poems, short stories (<500 words), essays and opinions, editorial types of pieces, reviews of books, and anything else you want to send our way is welcome.

The staff will meet on Tuesdays to discuss what will be published and what needs to be sent back to the author for revisions. We'll take care of *minor* editing.

TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:

If word processing, please use MS Word. You may handwrite in pencil or pen, too. It has to be legible, though!  Bring it to Mrs. Paisie's room or have your teacher put it in her mailbox in the teacher mailroom.  You should hear from us as soon as we meet on Tuesday to review submissions.
